Photography collaboration with artist Brooke reid

Below are a series of photographs from an ongoing collaboration with floral installation artist Brooke Reid. The series originated in the spring of 2020 and was inspired by the Dutch Masters of old as well as the contemporary works of photographer Gregory Crewdson. While these are photohraphs, the collaboration mirrors that of a Director/DP workflow. Brooke concepts and designs all the elements in the frame while sharing her creative vision and ideas for lighting with Kyler who then works to translate and interpret those ideas though lighting and color. While the early work was more based in the style of traditional table top still life, the newer creations venture more into the world of the surreal and imaginative. The work has been featured in several galleries and shows around the country and is an ongoing collaboration.
